Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder

What this quote alludes to is that beauty depends on perspective which is why everyone has a 'taste' for the opposite sex, people could like someone for their big nose contrary to that someone could dislike that in a person. This is what the proverb tries to convey; everyone has their viewpoint. For example, he says   “…like beauty, my friend, ‘tis in the eye of the beholder” (13). The eye; meaning the subjective, the beholder; is your mind and beauty is the rhetorical device that presents perspective through beauty. How this could be applied to our society today is that everyone has their own stance and path in their life. The subjective is different for everyone and its shape is by the environment they live in. Something to consider is that everyone has a different opinion and that's okay, everyone should hold onto that. This is what makes life interesting, discovering people's viewpoints on important topics of the world. For instance, something that was interesting to discover is that if you view the world from a positive point of view your whole attitude to everything will change. A family member had given me this piece of advice and I never followed it, until about a week ago what I did was I tried to get something positive from every day and that changed my perspective on life and how grateful I can be. Ergo looking for the beauty in the world is very important and will for sure change your life.
